Endorse this campaign

Endorsements are how a grassroots campaign breaks through. A neighbor people trust, a current or former officer, a local leader, an organization willing to lend its name, that is how voters know a challenge is serious. If you're thinking about lending yours, this page is for you.

Why put your name on it

This campaign runs on a documented record, not slogans. Sheriff Barrett calls his own jail "borderline unconstitutional," and the county is paying over $207 million for a new one that was made less humane to save money. Deputies are short-staffed and stuck on mandatory overtime their own union calls unsustainable. And on April 18th, our Sheriff's office answered a thousand nonviolent people with tear gas. When you endorse, you're standing behind facts, because that is what these are.

And let me be clear about what this campaign is not. It is not anti-deputy. I'm running against the leadership that left this department short-staffed and exhausted, not against the men and women who do the work. A safer county is built on supporting them.

If you've worn the badge

I especially want to hear from current and former law enforcement. You know better than anyone what good leadership looks like, and what its absence costs a department and the people in it. If that's why this race matters to you, I would be honored to talk.

How it works

Tell me how you'd like to help below. Whether you're ready to add your name publicly, want to talk it through first, or are exploring an endorsement from an organization, I'll follow up personally. Nothing is made public without your explicit okay.
